Live Boldly
This week my friend and I were talking about our dreams and aspirations in life. We both were saying that we have these crazy dreams and sometimes other people look down on those dreams. Society has placed emphasis and praise on certain (typically more traditional) career paths. Any other career paths are sometimes viewed as “ridiculous” or simply “a waste of time”. But you know what? Life is way too short to be miserable. We are placed on this earth to do what makes us happy. Passion is so important. There’s no such thing as a “bad” career path. All career paths are valuable and important. We all have different interests, talents, views, opinions, hobbies, and passions. And that is okay! That’s what keeps life so interesting. Can you imagine how boring it would be if we all chose the exact same career path and did the same thing every single day? I certainly wouldn’t want to live in a world like that.
I love chasing my dreams. I am excited to wake up every morning and create. I personally would not have the same experience if I was an accountant. Trust me. I had to take two accounting classes in college and it almost killed me. Numbers are truly not my friend. However, there’s plenty of accountants out there that absolutely love numbers and love their job. I love that! I applaud all of the accountants out there. I love that we all pick what we love and roll with it. Just because someone else is good at something does not mean that you have to be good at it as well.
I encourage you to chase your dreams. Find your passion. Do what makes YOU happy! Your happiness is what matters at the end of the day. I encourage you to live boldly. Figure out what makes you happy and do everything in your power to do just that. If it scares you? Even more reason to do it! We are all full of wonderful ideas and bursting with ability. Sometimes it just takes the bravery to begin. Once again, life is way too short! I encourage you to go out and live your best life. Because we’re all currently living our best lives. ✨
One of my favorite authors is F. Scott Fitzgerald. He writes, “For what it’s worth: It’s never too late to be whoever you want to be. I hope you live a life you’re proud of, and if you find that you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start over.” 🦋
